Shortened summary: * New project "javapackages" is gonna be created on fedorahosted * New project will contain Fedora specific rpm macros and scripts for packaging java (add_maven_depmap, maybe javadoc scriptlet eventually, custom rpm providers etc.) * javadoc scriptlet will be improved to handle license files automatically before re-evaluating for inclusion * We will move %{_jnidir} to use %{_libdir} according to discussion in [2]. Breakages will be fixed. * Jars with native libraries inside (such as jansi-native package parts) are going to be installed inside %{_jnidir} and maven improved to resolve even from jnidir * We have osgi provides generator in Fedora. See scratch build [3] for example generated rpm provides * JBoss AS 7 reviews are moving slowly but so far without too much trouble. Current status is always at [4] [1] http://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-meeting/2011-06-01/java-sig.2011-06-01-13.05.html [2] https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=665576 [3] http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=3102163 [4] https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/JBossAS7 -- Stanislav Ochotnicky <sochotnicky@xxxxxxxxxx> Software Engineer - Base Operating Systems Brno PGP: 7B087241 Red Hat Inc. http://cz.redhat.com
