That's the point. I always thought, /usr/share/java/* would be on the default classpath. Is that not the case? At least strace tells me that lots of jar files there are read. Setting CLASSPATH=/usr/share/java/\* before invoking ant, does not work but dies with a strange exception, using CLASSPATH=/usr/share/java/ant-contrib.jar works, but what is the point of doing that if I install a rpm file? Also I noticed that lots of ant rpms put their files into /usr/share/java/ant/ So do I really have to manage my CLASSPATH manually?
