No, this fixes it in either case. I was just saying that eclipse works fine until you view the Welcome screen and that whether it's during startup or not is irrelevant. However, I reported this on this list several months ago and no one could reproduce the problem. It doesn't matter now so long as it's fixed. I still get something like this on startup: $ eclipse Reaped unknown child pid = 10232 Reaped unknown child pid = 10233 This property is set by default: gnu.gcj.precompiled.db.path=/usr/lib/gcj-4.0.2/classmap.db Of course, this directory is empty. How do I make sure that the native bits are being loaded for all my applications? The code submitted to the rpm package upstream (in /usr/lib/rpm) uses /usr/lib/gcj-%{version}/classmap.db and names the .so files lib%{name}.so, but I guess there's no ``official'' policy on this yet. Is anyone at FC working on finishing this integration? I am interested in getting something like this going, or working with Ben or whoever submitted those changes. - -- Sincerely, David Walluck <david@xxxxxxxx> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDvKSjarJDwJ6gwowRAjwkAKCdEt0yTGPEh3pvEHi3rybib6FpmACeMEiy ZlCeDNZ1sffIjinHKcE68tw= =CnuV -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
