And at [2] one of the comments is just:
"Well, I'm going to try just for the super cool GCJ support"

What I found interesting and encouraging was:
. gcc 4.0 as the primary system compiler

If that works well and all packages in the system have already been
compiled with 4.0 then we are a lot closer to the new gcc release then I
had realised. Awesome!
