FYI the latest essex EPEL packages are at:

See the README there for details, and links to source.
People have tested these successfully,
and they should be ready within a few days.
Just to say that our preliminary tests of these packages
are also successful, and that we very much appreciate the
effort you are putting into keeping the packages up-to-date.
