Just to circle back, the RH folks via bugzilla gave us a simple reproducer which hangs and they've assigned it to the glibc folks. I am also finding (as mentioned by someone else previously) that httpd will not start when using an EC2 32-bit image. ÂI hope they fix this soon, because without apache, I'm going to have to hold off adopting Fedora 14 and stick with FC8 for now (the non-32-bit images are only available in large size and therefore more expensive).

Very interesting... that's the same function that is causing httpd to
hang for some people, as noted here:
Not really sure what that means, but I do find it interesting that
they're both hanging on the same system call.
