oops something wrong on formatting.  Guess that is what I get from editing an old message as new...

More on this;  The desktop is showing the empty CD media as unmounted.  But K3B is asking me to insert a blank CD, and not showing the SONY device.

Oh, this device works fine with K3B on F28 x86_64.

Inserted a blank CD and started K3B.  Got the message:

No optical drive found.
K3b did not find any optical device in your system.

What do I have to do for the K3B to see the drive?
