Well I pushed the proposed upstream patch quite some time ago, I replied on this thread actually, and never heard anything so I assumed that it worked because I never heard anything to the contrary. So if that hasn't fixed it I have no idea where to go from here so someone is going to have to engage with upstream to deal with this issue.
