.... will end up being diverting my attention from making sure the
images have a supporting repo, for keeping them up to date with RPi
development, rather than just stagnating with the firmware/kernel the
original image was created with.

I've spent time today, reducing the requirement to ship pre-compiled
binaries, to just the 2nd and 3rd stage VC boot loader binaries in /boot
partition, everything else being compiled from source and delivered via
the rpm mechanism, in a Fedora compatible manner. At the moment that
update repo is piggybacking on a server that will not support many
users. It needs moving, which I will do tomorrow.....
