Problems with CUPS

I have had a thread over on the Fedora users list, as at first it was a matter of what it takes to get cups installed and running on a minimal server (I am using the F21 minimal beta). Now I am wondering if there is still something I am missing or there is a problem with the beta.

I have installed cups, hplip, and enscript (as the printing app). After some trial and error, I have used system-config-printer on my F20 notebook to attach to my server to configure the networked printer (an HIP 8610 officejet). Using the config app, I can print a test page. The cups http admin tool shows the document printed.

Then from the serial console as root, I run enscript with:

enscript -2r --margins=:::45 -DDuplex:true -P HP-TR-8610 anaconda-ks.cfg

This is a command I use to print out various IETF RFCs and Internet Drafts.

The print fails with cups admin reporting it failed with 'Filter failed'. I have no problem with this command and the exact same printer on my F20 notebook. I may still need something to install, or this might be a problem with cups in the beta. Any advise on troubleshooting this is greatly appreciated.
