Testing with a USB drive on the USB/OTG port nothing happens.  It is
recognized on a regular USB port.

on http://linux-sunxi.org/Linux_mainlining_effort, I see a comment from 10
months ago that OTG needs more work.
I don't believe it's upstream yet [1]

That is what I was looking at. It is one of the easier things to live without for a time.
