you will need to run the following command from the CLI "Command Line Interface"

systemctl enable graphical.target ??

The new alpha image for the raspberrypi is out. I encourage you to test it out and report any bugs that you notice. Also the default run level is 3 so it boots into text mode, if you would like to test out the GUI "Graphical User Interface" you will need to run the following command from the CLI "Command Line Interface".

Because this is just an alpha release and we are still working on firstboot you will need to login as "root", the default password is "raspberrypi".

Login:           root
Password:    raspberrypi

start GUI cmd:
startxfce4
