custom .axf files for the ARMv8 models

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Foe those of you experimenting with the ARMv8 models (whether
the ARM FAST or Foundation model), you may have noticed that
the kernel parameters are hard-coded.

I've put together a quick'n'dirty tool that will allow you to
customize the kernel parameters in whatever way you need (as
long as it's less than 400 characters :).

To use the tool:

   $ git clone git://fedorapeople.org/~ahs3/patch-axf.git

and then follow the instructions in the README.

So, for example, if you need to change the IP addresses for your
NFS root mount, or the name of the mount point, you can now do
so pretty easily.

Hope this helps....
