Minimal set > of packages, but with working X configuration. It's not really working as it misses a chunk of stuff. You'd be better of getting the files for building an image an spinning one on your on. I think the difference between the minimal and minimal+X was basically the Xorg comps group was added so it's not hard to add to the minimal without X and get what you need.
