Pandaboard: Wifi

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

i just received my Pandaboard and put the Fedora image onto the SD-Card.

The wifi didn't work, because the firmware images weren't present.

After performing an update, the firmware images were there, and they
loaded fine, but rebooting the new kernel made the interfaces
dissappear, because the driver modules (wl12xx & co) were missing.

Is there a reason the modules are not included in the new kernel (3.5
vs 3.4 before update)? Do I have to compile my own kernel, or will
this be changed again?

Thanks,
Julian

PS: The Fedora image uses the "kernel-omap" package, should I try out
the "kernel" package?
