#11: Branding Decision: Fedora $N $PRODUCT vs. Fedora $PRODUCT $N ----------------------+--------------------- Reporter: sgallagh | Owner: Status: new | Priority: normal Component: General | Resolution: Keywords: | ----------------------+--------------------- Comment (by inode0): Replying to [comment:3 duffy]: > from a branding POV if you put 21 after Fedora it's the Fedora version (Fedora $N $PRODUCT), if you put 21 after the product it's the product version (Fedora $PRODUCT $N). if the products aren't going to have the same version number / release schedule then product version makes sense. if they are always going to be synced to the same version of the base (which i thought was the case) than Fedora version makes more sense (Fedora $N $PRODUCT) I agree with that logically but RHEL seems to place the release after the product name. Does anyone know why?
