Beefy Miracle is having a huge negative cultural, social, and political
connotation with respect to India and several religions of India and
 world.

Connotation is the emotional and imaginative association for a word, where
denotation is the strict dictionary meaning of a word. So when we need to
check for connotation, there is nothing to do with a meaning like robust
or muscular. During naming we need to avoid any potential unwanted
connotations of any words wholly/partly that can create problems in making
our project or product widely acceptable.

Even I can find there is one direct meaning of 'Beefy' is also there -
 filled with beef: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/beefy

[http://beefymiracle.org Beefy Miracle] is the code name for fedora 17 and
the pix shown there on this promotion iste of of a food item filled with
beef. I don't feel there is any connect between the typical meaning of
'beefy' word with the image. And here in this context, it is even direct
and so it is more serious.

And please check here as well how our community understand 'beefy' word
 when selecting
 [http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Name_suggestions_for_Fedora_18 Fedora 18
Naming], mainly thier context is beef only.

Some Links that can show how it is a wrong selection with respect to
Indian larger community as well as govt of India and in particular
religions like Hindu, Boddha, Jainas, Sikhs etc.

Directive Principle of State Policy of 'The Constitution of India':
Article # 48. Organisation of agriculture and animal husbandry]

"The State shall endeavour to organise agriculture and animal husbandry on
modern and scientific lines and shall, in particular, take steps for
preserving and improving the breeds, and prohibiting the slaughter, of
cows and calves and other milch and draught cattle."

 [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etiquette_of_Indian_dining#Beef Etiquette of
 Indian dining/Beef] :

"The cow is considered sacred by most Hindus and hence beef is considered
taboo in many Indian states, and therefore most restaurants do not serve
it. However beef is consumed by people of other religions and certain
sections of Hindus. Beef is commonly sold in restaurants in the North-
Eastern states, Goa and Kerala. Apart from this, international restaurants
(primarily located in urban areas) too serve beef dishes according to
 their usual menus."

Hinduism/Ahimsa vegetarianism and other food customs]

"The cow in Hindu society is traditionally identified as a caretaker and a
maternal figure, and Hindu society honours the cow as a symbol of
unselfish giving. Cow-slaughter is legally banned in almost all states of
 India."

 [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cattle_in_religion Cattle in religion]

"Cattle are considered sacred in various world religions, most notably
Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism as well as the religions of
Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, and Ancient Rome. In some regions,
especially India, the slaughter of cattle may be prohibited and their meat
 may be taboo."

 Some News:

passed.html Cow slaughter ban bill passed in Karnataka Assembly]

cow-slaughter-ban-bill_1434333 BJP dharna to demand approval for cow
 slaughter ban bill]

Madhya Pradesh cow slaughter ban Act gets Presidential nod]

 [http://www.indianexpress.com/oldStory/35561 Cow slaughter rumour sparks
 riots in Satara]

So there is a need of proper connotation analysis before going for the any
name and so for this also. Similarly, prima facie, I feel that "Juicy
Bacon" is also loaded with very very negative connotation from Fedora 18
 name selection list.
