Hi Jared! What about one global FUDCon accompanied with smaller local events - like one day FADs + hackfests. I see it working for other projects, it's of course more expensive but it helps breaking barriers, makes it easier to meet all people. I can compare EMEA and NA FUDCons. And I really enjoyed NA one. It's a bigger logistic problem, for smaller project (meant - external companies contributors) difficult to sponsor. But standalone FUDCons are probably expensive too -> these money could go to sponsor contributors to get to the one right place. And I've already seen the same European faces on NA and EMEA FUDCons - so it's already working for a lot of people.
