A heads-up followed by a house-cleaning perhaps ? Or, something to the
effect of "we notice that you have not been using the subscription for
a period of xy months, and, hence we are re-allocating the
subscription ... " etc.

All said, a sound plan. I know of a couple of folks who appreciate the
LWN availability via The Fedora Project.
