From what I understand, that flavour of Ubuntu will be more free (*)
than Fedora (e.g. no firmware, no images/sound that don't include full
source), so such an announcement might backfire.
(*) Depending on how you define freedom, obviously. I'm well aware
that there's little agreement what "freedom" means when applied to
firmware, images/sound, documentation etc.
On a related topic... from the Fedora main page...
"...All in pursuit of the best operating system and platform that free
software can provide."
What don't we have a link there to the Fedora definition of "free software?"
