To be honest the choice of icon themes is a distribution specific integration
problem. Some distros use Tango, some don't. So changing virt-manager to use
Tango isn't a net win - it just shifts work from one distro another. 

Feel free to add a page to the wiki site at http://virt-manager.org linking 
to your Tango icons though, so people who are interested can easily get hold
of them.
