Thanks, it seems the speed problems are unrelated to what I was doing, it actually just fired into the installer after 20 minutes, which led us to discover our vmware server is melting.  I was going to bugreport the yum stuff, but I wasn't sure if it was redundent because it's fixed in 5.2.  I'll go bugreport it anyway just in case anyone else runs into the same problem.

These messages from Anaconda are standard and are not part of the
problem, you'll see them in most installations.

As to your install slowness, I'm not sure /what/ is causing that, though
if it has reached kickstart you are outside of Cobbler's territory.
Perhaps there is something else in your logs that can help you debug this.

You can try checking your kickstarts with "cobbler validateks" (requires
pykickstart to be installed).

The yum crash should probably be reported in bugzilla under the Anaconda
component.
