I just found out that you can still do a WinXP SP2 install from your
CD/DVD drive by using the virt-install CLI (it asks you the same
questions as python-virtinst).

Daniel - how does that jibe with your DBus problem theory?
The new greying-out of the CD/DVD device seems a python-virtinst issue
since the CLI still permits it.
