If this worked with the previous version of virt-manager, please file a bug. Please include ~/.virt-manager/virt-manager.log in the bug report. We'll need some extra info for that second issue. Where exactly is it failing? Try running virt-manager from the console with 'virt-manager --no-fork' and see if it dumps an error message when you try the install.
