Error when running cft manifest command

I did a simple session with cft  and then tried to create a  manifest and got the following error:
# cft manifest apache

I'm running puppet 0.24, Fedora 8, latest cft 0.2.1.1 on x86_64

Any idea what I'm doing wrong or where I can learn how to properly set up cft?

I presume I don't have /etc/puppet set up right. But I was trying cft as a way to learn puppet so its a vicious circle!

Thanks!
