most of the time. Do you call it HEAD?

were updates prior to my getting this back to you, but could not find
any. Guess git requires some study... :-)
Yeah, git also uses 'HEAD'. As far as I know git users refer to versions using the checksums as there is no central authoritative repository as far as git itself is concerned.
