serial console to windows hvm guest

Hi all,

If I understand correctly, I need to define serial='pty' in my guest's
config file in order for xm (or virsh) console to work. However, I
didn't use a config file, I had virt-manager/libvirt do it.

What is the XML equivalent of serial='pty'? I tried virsh dumpxml,
adding "<serial>pty</serial>", but it didn't stick after doing virsh
define.

(I'm trying to hook up a serial debugger to a windows hvm guest, as
described here:
http://www.evilbitz.com/2006/12/13/howto-debugging-a-remote-windows-hvm-under-xen-using-windbg/
so if there's a better way to do this please let me know.)

Thanks -- Regards -- Andy
