[FWD: [gtk-vnc-devel] ANNOUNCE: Release 0.1.0 of GTK-VNC]

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

FYI, in the next couple of days I will be pushing the changes to virt-manager
to use the GTK-VNC widget for the graphical console. The GTK-VNC package is
currently undergoing review for inclusion into Fedora so binary packages
should be available in the near future.

Dan.

> GTK-VNC is a VNC viewer widget for GTK. It is built using coroutines
> allowing it to be completely asynchronous while remaining single threaded.
> It supports RFB protocols 3.3 -> 3.8, and the VeNCrypt authentication
> extension providing SSL/TLS encryption with x509 certificate authentication.
> The core library is written in C and a binding for Python using PyGTK is
> available. The networking layer supports connections over both IPv4 and
> IPv6. Example code illustrates how to build a vncviewer replacement using
> GTK-VNC in either C or Python. The code is licensed under the LGPL v2.1
