I just upgraded to cobbler-0.5.1-1. When I run cobbler check I get the following
backtrace:
<snip>

Should I put this in bugzilla?

No need to, I've fixed it already... Thanks for the report!

For what it's worth, 0.5.1-1 is/was a testing release. I'm planning to release 0.6.0 (stable) towards the end of this week. If you checkout and build from the latest source you'll essentially get the above fix and 99.9% (maybe 100%) of what will be in 0.6.0.
