Re: [et-mgmt-tools] Cobbler and RHEL4

Cobbler 0.2.7 has a bug where imported profile and distribution names (created with "cobbler import") contain slashes. This is fixed in 0.2.8 where they become underscores, as they should be.

This is now uploaded to FC-5/6 (it's waiting on the push) and is already up on cobbler.et.redhat.com.

FYI: Cobbler 0.2.7 builds and installs cleanly under RHEL4 now, with the only dependencies being httpd and tftp-server, both of which can be installed with up2date.

So, if anyone on this list was interested in Cobbler but couldn't run it due to a need for RHEL4, Cobbler 0.2.7 should fulfill your needs. This should also cover other distros based on python2.3 that also do kickstart. If you run into any problems, let me know.

The feature to import rsync:// mirrors is also in 0.2.7, with improvements (performance related and otherwise) to come in future releases.
