I have recently been granted maintainership of the libcec package, and plan to clean up the open bugs assigned to it. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1466166 This is an old bug from 2017 requesting the existing libcec 3.1 package be replaced with libcec 4.0.7. libcec 4.0.7 mock builds just fine on epel7. I’ve read the EPEL documentation regarding incompatible upgrades, and I am not entirely sure this falls under that category. Yes, it is a major version upgrade, but it is unclear to me if that makes it “incompatible”. General advice on how best to respond to the open bug is being requested. Thank you. _______________________________________________ epel-devel mailing list -- epel-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to epel-devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/epel-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam on the list, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure
