CentOS-8 is EOL. EPEL-8 is not because there is RHEL-8, AlmaLinux-8, Oracle Linux 8, and Rocky Linux 8. CentOS-8 Stream should be around until ~2024 when RHEL-8 goes from doing regular rebases to its 'only doing security updates' til its EOL CentOS-9 Stream should be around until ~2027 when RHEL-9 goes from ... -- Stephen J Smoogen.
