Hello,
Extremely BAD experience trying to log in at
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2018-9a4a06731c
First I couldn't remember my username but I could remember my password
and the VERY BROKEN DESIGN does not allow me to request it send me a
reminder of my username.
Finally figured out my username and it sent me a password reset.
Reset password, and it would not let me log in.
Attempted several times.
Figuring I entered it wrong and did the reset again.
Tried the password the way it was in my password manager and it said I
couldn't reset it to an old password.
So regenerated new password - but with that also could not log in.
I just need to leave feedback that the EPEL package in testing fixes the
bug issue I reported.
Very frustrating.
Tried following a contact list to let someone know about this issue -
but it led me to a list of mailing lists, I don't want to subscribe to a
new mailing list (I already subscribe to this one)
Someone needs to fix that system. It's very broken. I can't log in to
report the EPEL package in testing works.
alice@xxxxxxxxxxxxx is the e-mail address for my account there.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1661390 is the bug report
for the issue the package in testing fixes. There logging in works just
fine, but there my browser remembers my login.
It's the bodhi.federaproject.org system I can't log into, even after
resetting my password twice.
#!/usr/bin/env php
<?php
$raw = random_bytes(16);
$encoded = str_shuffle(base64_encode($raw));
echo $encoded
is how I generate my passwords, then I stick them in a manager. I don't
believe that results in any illegal characters and the bohdi system
certainly didn't complain.
I hope someone here knows who to forward this to that can fix the broken
system.
