Should it require kmod(l2tp_ppp) instead of kmod(l2tp_ppp.ko) ? Hmm, it seems to have been added into the base kernel package between 3.10.0-327.22.2.el7.x86_64 and 3.10.0-327.28.2.el7.x86_64 but regardless, it seems to give the error: error: Failed dependencies: kmod(l2tp_ppp.ko) is needed by xl2tpd-1.3.8-1.el7.centos.x86_64 error: Failed dependencies: kmod(l2tp_ppp) is needed by xl2tpd-1.3.8-1.el7.centos.x86_64 A yum search reveals no package providing either of them. So I guess this is a kernel packaging bug? See also: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1406360 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1192189 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1349743 I mean, I can surely work around the kernel packaging bug. But in the end, this is not an xl2tpd bug.
