Retiring Mono from Epel5, question about Mono in Epel6

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

now that Mono 4.2 is in Epel7, we should look at Mono in Epel5 and Epel6.

Laxathom aka Smoother1rOgZ, the contact person for the Mono package,
agreed on IRC that we should retire Mono 1.2 on Epel5.
So I will work on this topic next week.
If someone has concerns, please let me know.

What about Mono 2.10 on Epel6? I guess, technically speaking it is
possible to upgrade. Not as many packages depend on Mono in Epel6 than
in Epel7, actually only the packages mono and dbus-sharp are affected.
But is there a need for it?
I am not using CentOS6 with Mono personally anymore, so I have not
much interest in doing the upgrade and therefore suggest to retire
Mono from Epel6. However, I can be convinced if people speak up and
say that they are using it!

I hope this makes sense,
  Timotheus
