Hi,

Could it work if you combine both screens to one? I mean on the top there could be a drop down menu (probably same type as "Technology" one) with RAID levels, and in the bottom there would be all the features.

By selection RAID level from drop down menu, appropriate features would be checked, and vice versa. The level in drop down menu have to be updated immediately when user selects some features, not after hitting "Apply changes" or whatever. And the same vice versa.. :)

Do you think it makes sense?

Martin

Subject: Idea for changing RAID selection UI

Hi folks,

Stephanie and I have been doing some thinking about improving the RAID
selection UI in Anaconda. Stephanie put together a couple of mockups to
show one of our ideas - basically, by default we'd allow users to pick
RAID via 'features' the way the UI is in F18, but we'd provide an
optional radio button you could select to indicate a specific RAID level
if you have a target RAID # you need to go for.

Her mockups are here:

Do you think something like this would be a workable improvement to the UI?
