Will it be possible (either in F18 or > F19)? No, there's no package-specific UI planned. It was always lies anyway. You could select and deselect what packages you chose, but you could still end up with them if dependencies required them. Of course you could still do package-level selections with kickstart if you so choose. > Further, in F18-TC6 I'm still finding the "Software Selection" UI > confusing due to the disconnect between the left and right side > columns providing apparently bogus feedback to the user. For example: The left and right sides are directly tied together via the data provided by comps. > When I choose "Gnome Desktop" on the left, the right side "Choose your > add-ons" nothing is selected. The left side ("Environment") has groups that are automatically selected as part of the environment, and optional groups that are not but are listed on the right side. If you do not select something on the right side, you're not going to get it. > That's merely confusing, but then there are the impossible to believe > ones. This seems like more of a display bug than anything. > So will there eventually be a visual tie-in between chosen environment > and the add-ons that environment will include? i.e. some of those > add-ons will be automatically checked in the UI? Please see the comps data to tell what the intention is here. > There also appears to be no way to get a listing of what applications > or packages those add-ons include. Will this eventually be possible? Like I said, we're not doing a package-specific UI. - Chris _______________________________________________ Anaconda-devel-list mailing list Anaconda-devel-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/anaconda-devel-list
