[PATCH 0/3] Execute anaconda directly for image kickstart installs

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

From: "Brian C. Lane" <bcl@xxxxxxxxxx>

This set of patches cleans up the image installs so that you can execute
anaconda directly to do a kickstart install into an image file. This is only
reliable if you are building an image for the same release. It might work
for other releases, or you may end up with strange errors that are hard to
track down.

You can run something like:
anaconda --image=/home/bcl/disk-4.img --kickstart=/home/bcl/fedora-livemedia.ks --cmdline --repo=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/releases/16/Everything/x86_64/os/ --proxy=http://proxy.brianlane.com:3128

(tested with F16)

Setup storage config when kickstart is parsed
  Disable yum log file handling
  Unmount the image file
