[rhel6-branch] allow GPT usage on non-EFI systems when size >2TB [REVISED 2]

This patch actually works.  Tested on x86_64 and installations on systems with
drives under 2.2TB in size work fine and you get the disk label you expect.  I
do not have a way to test >2.2TB disks.
