I need to do some hacking on anaconda for RedHat 7.3.  I've already created my customized install CD (everything I need on one CD) and my kickstart config.  Works nicely.  Now I want to be a little more creative.  Some of the components (networking, in particular) need to be set statically per host.  I'd love for the install to pop up, ask the user for hostname, ip addresses, etc, and then continue with the kickstart.  Where do I need to start?

That’s a pretty old RedHat you’ve got there.  You’d be better using one where the security holes have been fixed – speaking from a colleague’s direct experience.

Your question would probably be better on the Kickstart list kickstart-list@xxxxxxxxxx, as I think what you need can be accomplished in Kickstart rather than by hacking Anaconda.  A useful start is Kickstart Tips and Tricks by Chip Shabazian.
