New way to mount stage2

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I just pushed a couple of NFS patches to rawhide. In case you've missed them: from now it's possible to mount an uncompressed stage2 directory via NFS, using something like this from the command line:

stage2=nfs:buildserver:/pub/pungi/20100407/i386/os/images/squashfs-root

I find this useful for the changes that require adding into the install.img, because one doesn't have to run mksquashfs after every single missing library/config file he adds. I wish I had it before integrating metacity.

Next goal: restarting anaconda without a reboot and doing changes on the fly.

Ales
