this is great.
For the updates image, note that if you changed only python source files
you can simply copy them into updates.img directly, see
scripts/upd-updates.
What I personally do is just copy *every* python file from anaconda git
source into updates.img using upd-updates. This can be scripted very
easily and works even for python-kickstart and python-meh.
