Both look alright, though I'm less sure about #2.  Have you been able to
test an updated initrd with the keymap and font stuff?

I could not test #2 on my own, so I had dgregor roll a test tree for just
ppc64, but to do that I needed to build.  Turns out #2 is not complete, but I
now have a ppc64 box that I can use.
