I think this would be nice to do, but I might be alone in this :)

We used to (basically) have that.  Actual user testing showed that the
vast majority of users select advanced/custom because everyone either
feels that their own use case is somehow special or just doesn't want
to feel that they're "missing out" on something.  Even people that are
complete newbies.  I honestly am concerned that we'll have that effect
even with just this screen

FWIW from a long time anaconda user/tester, however the new interface ends up, having a clear path to the custom partitioning screens is IMHO basic. Other distros have a path, not always clearly obvious, but there nevertheless and essential when trying installs on unusual configurations.
