f11 install problem

I have noticed that 256MB of ram just isn't enough anymore..  The install dies early in the process with an OOM error and kills X.  Is there any recourse to deal with this at all?  How about enabling swap early on? or using kickstart, does that save ram?

any suggestions most welcomed..  maybe I can update the wiki with this info too, the specs need to be increased also.

thanks, Justin
