If that succeeds and/or our resolution is "small"[1], we set the window to be fullscreen. Otherwise, we let GTK+ figure out a good size with a minimal and hope things fall out well. It's going to be an impactful change, though, and take a fair bit of testing across a lot of hardware to make sure it works well. So doesn't seem like three days before feature freeze material.
