There's something of the sort in one of the common paths.  But with the
livecd install, after we've dd'd over the rootfs, we need to change the
UUID of the fs so that it remains random (and unique).  That said,
putting the "set new random UUID" as a filesystem-method probably makes
sense for the future as someone is certainly going to want to do, eg, a
btrfs livecd before long probably
