I really hate having to pass a storage instance around all over the place, but I don't see what else we can do right now. I don't think we can fix that until we get rid of util.py and deal with things as objects instead of strings. So, go ahead and commit this and we'll make things cleaner when we take the chainsaw to booty next. Also, thanks for testing a non-dmraid case to make sure it all worked.
