This one is untested, but it's syntactically right and I believe my knowledge of yum is right here. tsInfo is the set of packages to be installed, right? and getProvides does appear to take virtual provides and return something useful. I've already got the provides added to gdm and kdebase-workspace, so that gets us most of the way there.
