I have a problem installing RHEL UP6 on X86_64 platform using vnc install method.
Anaconda installer starts the VNC server, and provides the IPaddress to connect. Once connected via a vnc client, I see a black screen.
I get the following error on the console:
The VNC server is now running.
Please connect to 172.30.131.245:1 to begin the install...
//usr/bin/mini-wm: error while loading shared libraries: libX11.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The problem doesn't seem to occur with the RHEL5 X86_64 release. I found a similar problem being fixed in the RH5 release (http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2007-0644.html).
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
